Lostintheletters is honored to celebrate the release of Julia Elliott's new story collection, Hellions (Tin House), with readings from
Julia Elliott’s Hellions arrives in April 2025. She is also the author of the story collection The Wilds, a New York TimesBook Review Editors’ Choice, and the novel The New and Improved Romie Futch (both from Tin House). Her work has appeared in The Georgia Review, Tin House, Conjunctions, Granta (online), and the New York Times. She has won a Rona Jaffe Writers’ Award, and her stories have been anthologized in Best American Short Stories and Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses. She teaches English and Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of South Carolina and lives in Columbia with her husband, daughter, and five hens.
Christina Wood is a prose writer with stories in The Paris Review, Granta, McSweeney's, The Sewanee Review and other journals. Her nonfiction has appeared in The Los Angeles Review of Books and McNeese Review. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Georgia, an editor at Brink Books, and a graduate editor at The Georgia Review.
Adam Forrester is a writer, filmmaker and artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. His writing appears in The Baltimore Review, Drain Magazine, The Airgonaut, and elsewhere. His documentary film work has won an Emmy (Southeast) and screened at festivals and museums nationally and internationally. He studied visual art at the University of Georgia and creative writing at Georgia State University where he was a recipient of the Paul Bowles Graduate Fellowship in Fiction. He lives with his wife and their dog in an old house with wavy glass window panes.
